Overview
BIOWEG is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across cosmetics, personal care, food and agriculture sectors. In this role, you will identify new business opportunities, cultivate strong relationships with B2B clients and help bring BIOWEG’s sustainable, microplastic-free ingredients to market. You will work closely with internal teams to develop and execute strategies that support the company’s ambitious expansion goals.

In this role, you will shape the future of sustainable ingredients across cosmetics, personal care, food, and agriculture.
Your Role
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic plans to drive revenue growth
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decision-making
  • Represent BIOWEG at industry events, trade fairs and conferences to showcase our innovative solutions
  • Develop approaches, pitches and proposals addressing client needs and objectives
  • Support the CEO in preparing reports, presentations and strategic documents
  • Generate, qualify and maintain leads in our CRM system, ensuring accurate and up to date information
  • Lead the negotiation and closing of deals, ensuring mutual value creation and long-term partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions
  • Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to align business development strategies with company objectives
Your Profile
  • MBA or Master’s in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
  • Bachelors or M.Sc in Health Management, Business Administration, Life Science or a related field background is highly desirable
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in consulting, business development, sales or similar roles. Preferred experience in cosmetics and/or personal care or in life science, chemical, biotech, healthcare industries
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including managing teams and driving complex projects from concept to execution
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, CRM software (we use HubSpot) and other business development tools (Canva, Notion or Microsoft Loop...)
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills, with a track record of securing strategic partnerships and high-value deals
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and represent the company at global events
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English 
  • Fluency in French and/or German knowledge is a plus
  • Flexibility to travel extensively for client meetings, conferences and partnership development
